Venetian Halloween

Venetian Halloween

I haven’t been in to dressing up since I was about thirteen. But when I saw the array of costume choices in Venice, I wished I had been invited to a Venetian Halloween Ball.

Bill and I could have dressed up as a hot pink nun and a hot pink Napoleon.
Or maybe Bill could have been a doctor paying visits to victims of the Black Plague.

Or a scary clown…

And I thought I’d make a dazzling bird lady.
There are many, many choices in Venice.
 Who would you be?

(I will be a happy woman sleeping off jet-lag in her own bed on Halloween!)

A venetian masquerade party would be amazing! The first time my hubby and I went to Venice (it was his first trip there), we stocked UP on masks. We’ve hung them on the wall as decoration and they look fabulous!
Imagine my horror when I saw them selling authentic venetian masks at Winners (Canadian equivalent of TJ Maxx…..gah!

I would be Cleopatra. I know, slightly overdone, but for me is because of her amazing story. She was one powerful chick, you know? She had Rome in the palm of her little hand. Hmmmm.

    Hi Adrienne,

The last time I dressed up was at the office. One year I was Ginger from Gilligan’s island, (our group did the G.I. theme) which was hilarious. Another year I dressed as Elvira and I shocked some people because I always dressed professionally and somewhat conservatively.

One year we were invited to a neighborhood party and were going as Lucy & Ricky but my husband got sick so I was a party pooper and didn’t go as anything.

My husband has a clown phobia, I never forget the time we were signing our escrow papers and the escrow lady collected clowns and they were everywhere in her office! I could hardly keep from laughing.
