Jewels of the Vineyard

Jewels of the Vineyard

I bought my first Jewels of the Vineyard bracelet a few weeks ago while visiting Montecristi Panama Hats of Napa Valley with some girlfriends. After shopping for hats and making our selections, we zeroed in on these gorgeous leather bracelets on display in the shop. I tried on a dozen or so and finally decided this beauty, the Red Regaliz Bracelet, had to come home with me.

As I mentioned in the last How I Wear My post, burgundy is my absolute favorite color. In fact, I love all shades of dark red from raspberry to oxblood and everything in between. I knew the color of this bracelet would work well with my wardrobe and I was right!

Now that it’s fall, I get to wear one of my favorite thrift store finds: a cropped wool jacket by Dior. I love how the cropped sleeves allow me to show off my bracelet.

Under the jacket I wore a long asymmetrical tank from Nordstrom, Gap Always Skinny jeans, my new Ivanka Trump pumps and carried a Louis Vuitton clutch.

Owner, designer and artist, Cheryl Thompson creates each bracelet herself in her Yountville studio in Napa Valley from fine leather imported from Spain, Italy and Greece and quality silver and gold-plated hardware. The beads are also sourced from Europe or Cheryl will make them herself. No two bracelets are exactly alike. They truly are wearable works of art.

A longtime, self-taught artist, Cheryl began her business 2 ½ years ago and now boutiques around California sell her stunning pieces. Cheryl says, “I’ve been an artist my entire life, although, not always a jewelry designer. From hand-painted linens and fabrics to a ceramic manufacturing corporation, my hands have always followed my heart or art passion. Even now, I turn to oil paints and canvas when the intricacy of stringing tiny beads and twisting leather becomes confining. I create jewelry to express the beauty of the person who has chosen my work to wear. I truly love what I do. Creating beautiful jewelry is such a pleasure!”

And such a pleasure to wear, I must add!

My Red Regaliz Bracelet can easily be worn with a dressier look like the one above, or with an everyday casual look. I love this cropped Take It Easy Sweater by Stella Carakasi worn with my burgundy tank. I added a satchel by Banana Republic (last year) and Boden Chelsea booties (more on them in a future post!).

And a casual floppy hat is ideal for a relaxed fall look and a bad hair day.

When wearing Cheryl’s bracelet, I like to keep other jewelry to a minimum. But I can envision a row of these stacked together for a dramatic and chic look.

I also have this Brown Regaliz Bracelet that I wore while celebrating my wedding anniversary with my husband in Point Reyes.

I adore the cognac color and love the gold-plated hardware. It’s such a versatile piece for fall.

Some of my other favorites from Jewels of the Vineyards are this Leather and Chain Cuff Bracelet

..and an elegant Black Leather and Pave Bracelet that is perfect for evenings out. Notice the clasp on this one. It’s magnetic, as are both of my bracelets, and very strong. Easy to put on but won’t come off your wrist until you’re ready to take it off.

These beaded beauties are so glamorous. Cheryl makes many of the ceramic beads herself and is always coming up with new color combinations. My favorite is the Gray Regaliz Bracelet on the far left.

Cheryl is having a sale right now. Get 20% off many styles from now until the end of October. Be sure to check out all the styles from Cheryl’s collection and like Jewels of the Vineyards on Facebook to stay up to date on new styles and promotions.

Make it a rich day!

Disclosure: The Brown Regaliz Bracelet was given to me by Cheryl of Jewels of the Vineyard and the Take It Easy Sweater by Stella Carakasi. All opinions expressed here are, as always, my own.

The bracelets are great, and very wearable – good travel accessories too. I love all the outfits you put together as well. Burgundy is definitely your color, and how wonderful that it’s so available this season, you should stock up. I really love the SC sweater in black, but they’re sold out in my size? So great over that long tank.

They are ideal for travel, I didn’t think about that!
The Stella sweater is fun to style. I will have some other looks up on the blog with it soon. Also, if something is sold out online, it is sometimes available in the boutique or at La Brocante in Sonoma – just in case you want to get your hands on something not in stock online!

A! Love these bracelets! Thanks for posting about them. What great Christmas gifts these can make. I’m personally going to “gift myself” one of the black and bling ones, and the a beautiful gold and aqua one.
Great to see you and Bill the other evening.
    Cheers, Delores.

Beautiful bracelets…I really like the Leather & Chain Cuff bracelet. Too bad I have such tiny wrists. 🙁
