I am counting down to Friday, May 1st, when the Spring Luxe Event at Stella Studio in Berkeley featuring the Stella Carakasi Spring ’15 Collection and launch of the limited edition Adora by Adrienne bag gets underway.
I am incredibly excited and admit I am also rather nervous (public speaking, eek!). But more than anything, I am grateful to the lovely and generous people of Stella Carakasi for putting on this event. I am also so thankful to Matteo and Matteo of Adora bags for creating such a beautiful bag for me and my readers. I am thrilled to bring my two favorite fashion lines together for one fantastic and stylish event!
My friends at Stella Carakasi and I are working on the final details of the event. Everything seems to be coming together!
The wine has been purchased – I bought my favorite springtime white, a Pinot Gris from Landmark Vineyards – and the ice coolers are ready to be delivered to Stella Studio.
For something sweet, Chef Alex of L’Artisan Macarons in San Francisco will be baking up a fresh batch of special French macarons for the event. I think they will be yellow!
If you haven’t heard of L’Artisan, they supply macarons to all the Whole Foods Markets from Monterey, California to Vancouver, British Columbia. If you live anywhere in between and bought macarons at your local Whole Foods, they were from L’Artisan!
To go with the food and the wine, there will be a fashion show! My stepdaughter, Tori, will be in the show as will my friend from college, Lawana, and my longtime friend and business partner, Sandee. Friends and customers of Stella Carakasi’s will also be in the show.
And so will Tamera Beardsley who will be coming all the way from Orange County to walk the runway with me. I am so excited to share this experience with her! She has agreed to stay a for a few extra days afterward and we have plans to spend time in my neck of the woods, Sonoma Valley. I can’t wait to show Tamera and her husband around!
Tamera recently sent me these beautiful bracelets that she has available in her shop. I find that they go with just about every outfit I wear. Thank you, Tamera!
And I think they look fantastic with the orange Adora bag!
I am looking forward to seeing the accessories Tamera is bringing with her to style her Stella Carakasi/Adora bag looks!
Along with fabulous fashion, food and wine, there will be complimentary copies of the newest issue of Northbay Woman Magazine for guests of the event. My friend and stylist, Malia of Style by Malia, has a big fashion spread in this issue (as she does in every issue since she is their Fashion and Lifestyle Contributor). Malia styled the cover model in fashions from Stella Carakasi’s Spring ’15 Collection. I can’t wait to see this issue, coming out Thursday.
Last but certainly not least, I want to say how honored I am that Stella Carakasi herself will be attending the event. Over the last year, I have come to greatly admire Stella, not only for her design, fashion and architectural talents but for her passion for her profession, her warmth and grace, and her seemingly effortless elegance.
This event is surely an experience I never thought I would have, nor will I ever forget it. I am thrilled to get to share it with people I care about and wish I could have all of you there to join in the fun, fashion, food and wine!
If you are in the Bay Area and would like to attend the Spring Luxe Event, I would love to invite you! Please send me an email to [email protected] and I will fill you in on the details!
