Dry Creek Inn in Healdsburg

Dry Creek Inn in Healdsburg

Welcome to another Rich Life Travels post!

This time, I’m telling you about the lovely, inviting and budget-friendly Dry Creek Inn in beautiful Healdsburg.

Rich Life Travels

Bill and I recently had the pleasure of spending a fall weekend at Dry Creek Inn in Healdsburg. This Best Western property is not your typical Best Western and you’re soon to find out why!

Located about a mile from the main square in Healdsburg, this Tuscan-style inn is tucked away behind a couple of other businesses. We pulled into the registration area and were so impressed with the stateliness and beauty of the property. It far exceeded our expectations!

A friendly customer service representative checked us in and gave us the keys to our room which was located in the Villa Toscana portion of the inn in the next building.

We were given a King room upstairs on the second floor. It was spacious with lots of natural light and had a small patio with a balcony. It also had a desk, refrigerator and big comfy bed.

Through the shutters, looking toward the front door, is the large bathroom…

that has a big tub! And the big tub has jets. Soaking in this was such a treat for me.

I grabbed a quick photo of the bathroom before I unpacked all my cosmetics and toiletries, cluttering up the counter. I always appreciate when a hotel offers two sinks and lots of counter space in its bathrooms.

There was also a gas fireplace in our room, adding extra coziness.

Dry Creek Inn is pet-friendly so we were able to bring the girls – Daisy and Coco – with us on our visit. They immediately got acquainted with the room and soon were eager to catch up on their naps.

The sunny patio is large enough to fit a bistro table and chairs.

The patio overlooks the courtyard below which has a whirlpool tub where Bill and I would spend some time.

And it has a gorgeous outdoor fireplace and seating area. I love the striped cushions, potted topiary plants and olive trees.

After we got settled in our room, we relaxed for a bit and unpacked.

Soon we were ready to explore the property so we harnessed up the girls and went for a walk.

Dry Creek Inn has not one, but two pools. They also have two whirlpools, a sauna and a steam room – which are located in the courtyard.

Lovely flowers and plants are found throughout the property, adding color and beauty.

On a nice day – which is pretty much everyday in Wine Country – you will want to relax at one of several sitting areas on the property.

And enjoy tasting local wines – complimentary – on Friday nights.

We sipped on tasty reds from Nick Goldschmidt and Daughters.

The inner courtyard area is quite fabulous.

A dramatic fountain, comfortable seating, and chess tables convince guests to relax and enjoy!

The girls and I decided to cozy up to the fireplace.

The inn is beautiful at night, too. The outdoor fire pit was lit when we returned from dinner.

But rather than linger, we went back to our quiet and comfortable room to enjoy our own fireplace.

We had a wonderful stay at Dry Creek Inn and will definitely return for another visit – with their low rates and beautiful accommodations, we would be crazy not to!

In a future post, I will tell you how we spent our weekend in Healdsburg and Dry Creek Valley when not relaxing at Dry Creek Inn.

Make it a rich day!

Adrienne

Looks so nice. Like you, I really appreciate double sinks in the bathroom, it’s a big deal for me. Healdsburg is such a fun town to explore as well. I also love that Free People shirt in the white – I think it’s my favorite one.

We stayed somewhere last year that had one stand-alone sink and no counter space anywhere in the bathroom…where in the world are you supposed to put your toiletries? Healdsburg is such a cute town with so much to do. I used to want to live there but I actually am okay just visiting when I want to. It’s become quite popular lately!

  2. Beautiful place…and I love your blouse so much! Enjoyed the post, Adrienne!

We often write about the Best Westerns we choose in Europe – they’re usually unique, particular to the area, and lovely. Nice to see that they’ve got some beautiful properties here in the States too! I would LOVE to enjoy the Dry Creek Inn someday…

It never occurred to me that were Best Westerns in Europe (of course there are but I just never thought about it). They are such a reliable brand. My mother-in-law loved Best Westerns.
I hope you can come to California someday and experience our beautiful area, Anne!
