Visiting B.R.Cohn Winery in Sonoma Valley

Last week I had the pleasure of visiting B.R. Cohn Winery in Sonoma Valley, about a 10-minute drive from my home in the neighboring town of Glen Ellen.

I have been to B.R. Cohn many times but this visit was extra special. I was there for a tour of the property with their Hospitality Director, Michael, and for a photo shoot with my friend and photographer, Daidri Smythe.

Daidri in action!

I am thrilled to tell you that I am taking over the Instagram account for B.R.Cohn for a few days, starting today! And what a great time of year to do it – the mustard flowers are in full bloom making the already picturesque property even more breathtaking.

I’ll be sharing my favorite locations on their gorgeous 61-acre property, my favorite B.R. Cohn wine, and what I like to do when I visit B.R. Cohn. Be sure to follow them to see photos – many not shown here –  and learn more about this well-known, picturesque winery in Sonoma Valley.

Once the photo shoot was scheduled, I had to figure out what to wear, of course! I brought two outfits: both dresses and both looks I would wear wine tasting.

For my first outfit I wore my favorite new dress, the Freestyle Dress from Stella Carakasi that I told you about here.

With the vineyards still wet from some recent rain, I thought it best to wear my water-resistant Aquatalia booties. A denim moto jacket from the Gap and a tasseled druzy necklace in Serenity from Kay and Star (similar) seemed like the right pieces for softening the black dress. A felt wool hat topped off my look.

For my second look, I wore a neutral print dress by Stella Carakasi.

The Between The Lines Dress, with lots of fun architectural touches, is made with silky georgette fabric draped over soft organic cotton jersey. I decided to wear the denim moto jacket again not only for warmth but because the light blue denim just worked so well against the brilliant swaths of yellow.

I added another Kay and Star necklace to my second look. This black tasseled beaded necklace brought out the grays and black in the dress. A glass of delicious wine also makes a great accessory!

I hope you’ll stop by the B.R.Cohn Instagram feed over the next few days and say hello! And if you’re in the Sonoma Valley area or planning a visit, stop by the B.R. Cohn Winery, mention my IG takeover and get a 2-for-1 wine tasting!

A big huge thank you to the talented Daidri Smythe for taking the time out of her busy schedule for this photo shoot. Thank you also to Michael and the friendly staff at B.R. Cohn Winery for allowing me to explore this historical and scenic Sonoma Valley property. It was an unforgettably fun day!
