Affordable Quality from Chadwicks of Boston

Affordable Quality from Chadwicks of Boston

I was recently asked to choose a fall piece from Chadwicks of Boston to style. I shopped their website and was excited to see so many new styles and modern designs that fit my taste. I quickly had a list of several pieces to consider before I made my final selection. I ultimately chose the Single-Breasted Long Wool Coat in black.

A black winter coat is a wardrobe staple for me. I live in a somewhat mild climate in California so I don’t need a down coat or anything too heavy in my closet. But it does get cold enough that I need a more warmth than what a light jacket or duster can provide. This lined coat is the ideal “in-between” weight, ideal for my fall/winter wardrobe.

The quality of this coat is fantastic! I was impressed with the coat’s structure, material and fit, and the price is so reasonable.

I adore the dramatic length of my coat and am always thrilled when I find clothes that actually fit me the way they’re meant to. Chadwicks of Boston, a trusted, well-known brand, now carries Tall, Petites, and Plus sizes. At 6′ 2″, this is exciting news for me!

If long coats don’t suit you, there are several other lengths available in the Chadwicks of Boston wool collection including a 3/4 length coat, a peacoat, and a hooded coat that hits below the knee.

I wore my new coat for the first time on Saturday to an event. Light rain was falling when we took these photos and, while I considered wearing my not-so-stylish raincoat, I knew I’d be indoors so I chose to wear my new coat instead. This was a much more stylish choice! The temperatures were cool enough to wear it and I stayed comfortably warm all evening.

I love how long the sleeves are on me and the pockets are deep enough that I can easily carry my iPhone 6S in them, which is pretty big! A note about the pockets: they were sewn closed when the coat arrived, which is always a good sign of a quality garment.

With my long coat, I wore ponte pants with tall boots, a silky tunic and a fun choker necklace. It was an easy look to put together, made all the more stylish with the addition of the long coat.

I will also wear my coat with jeans, a tee-shirt and sneakers to run errands or go out for a casual lunch. And it will be my go-to coat to wear over a party dress during the holiday season, as well.

I am always on the lookout for affordable, quality clothes that not only fit me well but are classic and versatile.

Be sure to see what’s new for fall and winter at Chadwicks of Boston!

    Hi Adrienne
I need to stop by more often! Boy, I hope to visit Wine Country in the future, great post. This Chadwicks coat is very becoming! Love the length, and the mid weight as you described, as here in Charlotte, I don’t have a need for heavy coats either. It looks great on you
