Events Happening Around Wine Country

I sometimes joke that if you can’t find something fun to do in Wine Country every day of the week from April to November, you’re just not trying! From farmers markets to concerts, winery events to fundraisers, there is no shortage of celebrating in this corner of the planet. I am fortunate enough to attend many wonderful events throughout the year and thought it might be helpful to both my Bay Area readers and readers who…

July Fun!

Here it is August already! I can’t believe how quickly July came and went. For me this month seemed like non-stop entertainment, for which I am so grateful. So much July Fun! I enjoyed lots of time with friends, took in wonderful culture, food and wine at Festival Napa Valley – which I will tell you all about in a future post – and traveled to Tahoe to see an outdoor concert. VH1 Save The Music Event in Napa Valley

Last night, I attended a fundraising event in Napa Valley. VH1 Save The Music’s Musically Mastered Menu merges the music and culinary worlds for an intimate evening of raising funds to restore music programs in public schools across America. My friend, Michelle Lacy, who so kindly provided tips for my Girlfriends Getaway in Sonoma guide recently, invited me to attend. The Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau had front…

Child Parent Institute is children’s mental health and parent education agency that helps families throughout Sonoma County. Services include child therapy, autism support services, family resource assistance and facilitated supervised visitation. Their mission is to end child abuse and strengthen the health of…

Catwalk For A Cure Sonoma County

On Friday I attended the 12th annual Catwalk for a Cure Sonoma County, a breast cancer fundraiser in Sonoma County put on by Sutter Health. Each year this fashion show, live auction and luncheon raises tens of thousands of dollars for Sutter’s Breast Cancer Screening and Support programs. On top of it being such a worthy cause, it’s also a whole lotta fun! It was a luncheon event outdoors on a very hot day and I debated…
